ambiguously frustrating error removing sharepoint feature...

I'm working on Sharepoint. Of Course, I have to remove a few custom web parts. Silly me, I thought this would be easy...

stsadm -o uninstallfeature -filename "C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\Web Server Extensions\12\TEMPLATE\FEATURES\DragDropWebPart\feature.xml"


Although the documentation says "relative to the Features directory", I thought that since command line options work the same everywhere, I could give the full path.
WRONG!!!!

the real way we do this is

stsadm -o uninstallfeature -filename "DragDropWebPart\feature.xml"


Every time I think I understand MS, I find I am wrong. Kinda like being married.
